Lianhao Zhu (褚连皓) won the Zibo Open 2019 with an average of 9.76 seconds. Yibo Wang (王奕博) finished second (9.92 seconds) and Baizhen Kuang (匡柏臻) finished third (10.08 seconds).

Jiazhou Li (李佳洲) won the Chengdu Winter 2019 with an average of 9.20 seconds. Xinyan Liu (刘心妍) finished second (9.59 seconds) and Yibo Wang (王奕博) finished third (10.12 seconds).

There will be an appointment of a new WCA Competitions Announcements Team (WCAT) Leader, as Henrik Buus Aagaard has resigned. We would like to thank Henrik for the work he has done leading the team. The WCAT is an Advisory Committee of the WCA which is responsible for approving and announcing WCA competitions.
Candidates are expected to fulfill their terms (24 months) and to spend at least 8 hours per week on average to work for the Team. The qualities expected of candidates are:
- Strong leadership skills
- Attention to detail
- Very good knowledge of the WCRP
- Excellent communication skills
With the terms of Board Members Alberto Pérez de Rada Fiol and Bob Burton coming to an end, an anonymous election took place on November 9th, 2019. The election was done according to the WCA Motion: Election of Directors.
The Board received the applications of:
- Bob Burton
- Henrik Buus Aagaard
We are happy to announce that the election was successful and that both Bob Burton and Henrik Buus Aagaard were respectively re-elected and elected members of the WCA Board of Directors.
